Shannon Falls, British Columbia. They’re something like twice the height of Niagara Falls, but there is a much smaller volume of water falling. You can barely see half the height of the falls in these photos. Facebook Twitter 17 notes
Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver. It reminds me of the lakeshore in central and northern Ontario, except for the salt water of course. So much of this vast country is planted in granite and other rock millions of years old. Facebook Twitter Pintrest 15 notes
The only scenic photo I took in the mountains of Quebec in 2008. It was foggy, and the bus was going fast despite the slick roads. (Quebecois drivers, you know?) Despite the lack of photos, everything is imprinted in my memory. Despite everything being imprinted in my memory, I long to return to the forests outside Chicoutimi, le ZEC Mars-Moulin, and even that ghastly cold lake. Facebook Twitter Pintrest 6 notes
Bloedel Conservatory, in Vancouver this past August. Exactly two weeks til I’m on a plane back to Vancouver. I am SO EXCITED. Facebook Twitter Pintrest 9 notes

This is the second time in four days that I’ve been up for over 24 hours. While I wait for the shower, I’m posting some photos so I don’t fall asleep. Speaking of showers, here is a pigeon preening at the Reifel Bird Sanctuary in BC. Facebook Twitter Pintrest 6 notes
Olympic podium and the torch from the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver. It was neat to get to see them in person at the same time as the London Games were going on. Facebook Twitter 4 notes
