Today, the Daily Mirror have used a photo of Morgana, a photographer and model, without permission. This alone is nothing new; it happens every day.
But it gets worse. Her photo is on the front page, with the title ‘Women Who Kill’, alongside portraits of genuine murderers.
The Mirror have also used her photo (an artistic self portrait) at full size, to illustrate a giant double page spread about a real serial killer, ‘Lady Death’, with the tagline, ‘35 male bodies all in labelled coffins in her wine cellar’. Morgana has quotes splashed over her such as “I Wanted To Be The Last Woman In their Lives” and ‘35 victims’.They stole the photo from Morgana’s Deviant Art gallery and cropped her copyright and logo off the bottom.
The Mirror’s horrifying disregard for copyright and lazy, cheap journalism knows no bounds. Did they think they would get away with using this photo, without permission or payment, in pretty much the most libellous way possible? How stupid are these people?
Needless to say, Morgana is taking legal action.
Shame on the Daily Mirror!

Visible Children: We got trouble.
For those asking what you can do to help, please link to visiblechildren.tumblr.com wherever you see KONY 2012 posts. And tweet a link to this page to famous people on Twitter who are talking about KONY 2012!
I do not doubt for a second that those involved in KONY 2012 have great intentions, nor…
One of the most beautiful, informative and comprehensive museums in Canada: The Museum of Civilization, Ottawa.
Rear view of the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa. This stunning hotel has a long history, but I’ll only share one piece… back in 1954, you could get a room for 5$ a night. Granted, it didn’t have a washroom.. but still impossible today!
At the base of the Peace Tower, there’s a room filled with books holding the names of every fallen service man and woman in Canada’s history.
This one in particular is the Merchant Navy -they were civilians but incredibly brave and important to the supply of the Allied militaries in both World Wars. My great grandad was a Merchant Marine, albeit England’s and not Canada’s.

Hey all,
I know this type of post seems to be recurring… but I am alive! March Madness has begun (preemptively in February, actually) and I’m not talking about basketball. School and two jobs have made me unbelievably busy, and somehow I keep adding more onto my work load.
Onto the part that you, my lovely and loyal tumblr friends care about… I will be posting some photos that I took in Ottawa last week! Ottawa spam! haha.
Hope everyone is doing well!!
Love,
M
